How CDG are more efficient with Kato

CDG is one of London's prominent leisure specialists, working closely with landlords and operators on an impressive list of standout transactions. They have successfully advised and completed deals with a wide range of clients, ranging from new, growing operators like San Carlo and Tom Kerridge, to renowned chains and international brands such as Coldstone Creamery, Wingstop, Eeetwell, and Blank Street Coffee.

Recent flagship transactions include the successful acquisition of Zensho Holdings' brand's first central London unit as well as acquiring the first London location for a well known members club and restaurant concept from Paris. 

Morris Greenberg set the foundations for CDG in 1998 - originally as Gilmarc Associates, subsequently evolving, and rebranding as CDG Leisure. Over this time the team have built an impressive network of leisure and restaurant operators across the world.

The Barriers of Generic CRM

The CDG team have always had a progressive business mindset, always looking to improve efficiencies - as Morris said “why work harder when you can work smarter?!”. As leading agents they have always leveraged their network to generate new business and the best sites for their clients.  

Prior to Kato adoption, CDG had implemented a customised Salesforce CRM. As time went on they realised that the product wasn’t fit for purpose - matching properties with applicants was a time consuming process and too much time was spent on low impact admin tasks. All the fee earners were responsible for their own data, there was no admin or support that they could delegate to and they felt that their CRM was holding the business back. 

Since adopting Kato, CDG are getting huge benefits from using a tool which is specific to their role in commercial property transactions:

“I can’t articulate the results of Kato - our time to market once we are instructed is now a matter of minutes, all enquiries and responses are visible. Any commercially minded leasing agency should adopt Kato.”

Speedy Kato rollout

CDG’s adoption of Kato was smooth; the team found the platform easy and intuitive. Data transfer was also easy. As part of the onboarding service we imported CDG's data from Salesforce in just three weeks! 

To begin there were four subscribers of Kato at CDG - very quickly the team realised Kato was game changing. The team was saving a “sh!t ton of time” as Morris termed it! After a matter of months Morris made the decision to acquire the whole team licences - making Kato the agency mothership.
